Cendrillon, or Cinderella, is one of the great romances in European literature- and Massenet’s operatic adaptation is every bit as enchanting! With its timeless tale of rags to riches, love at first sight, and a fairy whose magic changes everything, this opera has all the charm you could wish for.

This February 13th and 14th, the Chicago City Opera brings Cendrillon to The Checkout- Chicago’s newest venue with a Cinderella story of its own! Once a 7-Eleven, now transformed by Access Contemporary Music, The Checkout is a shining example of how magic can happen in the most unexpected places.
